Traditionally, the wedding crowns in an orthodox wedding ceremony symbolize the glory and honor that God is bestowing upon the bride and groom during the Holy Sacrament of Matrimony. The crowns are an acknowledgment of how Christ establishes the couple as the King and Queen of their new home together.
This modern design of the bride’s crown is an interpretation of the meaning of a wife as the queen of her home. It is constructed of a natural Bird’s Eye Maple veneer mainly because of its light-colored, transparent, glimmering and poetic characteristics. The piece was inspired by handmade lace. The individual parts were then laser cut and glued together on a band to accentuate the face thereby achieving an ethereal feel and an elegant look.
